The Melville Cricket Club prides itself on having what we believe to be the most elite, diverse and innovative coaching structure. Our coaching team consists of eight former national and international players who are now giving back and contributing to creating the next crop of elite cricketers. In addition, we have a number of developing and passionate coaches across our structure providing specialist knowledge and mentoring to our playing group across all competitions and teams.
It is truly exciting for the club to have such a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced coaching line up. This will benefit all of our players not only now but into the future.

Accreditation: Level 3
Paul Terry is a former English cricketer, having played for Melville Cricket Club & 2 tests for England in 1984. Paul has been at the club for 22 years, 8 of those years as coach. Paul has played 48 1st Grade games for Melville Cricket Club.
Accreditation: Level 3
Lauren is a Past Melville player who has played over 200 games of A grade cricket, with over 1500 runs and 100 wickets. Her strengths were patrolling the boundary, bowling at the death and being a handy middle order bat, who was great at running between the wickets.
As a coach Lauren’s strength is skill development, working with young cricketers and bringing them through to senior grade cricket and on to representing the state.
Lauren is currently on staff at the WACA as the WA U15s Assistant Coach.

Doig is a Melville stalwart having played well over 350 matches for the blue and black. With a wealth of experience on the field, he has also played a very active role off the field developing our juniors and seniors in various positions over the years. Steve brings plenty of energy, fun and desire to see others succeed with everything that he does.
Accreditation: Level 1
Drew is one of our current 1st grade players and has been a standout club performer for many years. He has played over 250 1st Games for the club. He has played first class cricket for Western Australia and is a multiple presidents medal winner at MCC. Another of our experienced players, he brings plenty of tips and skill development for both bat and ball to our players.

Luke is our current 1st grade and club captain. He was formerly contracted with the WACA having debuted for the Warriors in 2009 with a top score of 124 for WA. A passionate club man and top order batsmen, Luke is giving back to the club through his coaching and mentoring of a number of our players. As one of our most experienced players, he has great insight for all of our up and coming future stars.
Sean Terry is a former Irish International and county cricket player & is currently 1st Grade captain of Melville Cricket Club. Sean also played for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.

Mark is a 1st grade Melville player who has played for Melville since he was in the under 13’s. Mark has now played 55 1st grade matches taking over 120 wickets. His strengths are being able to use the new ball well, bowling into the breeze, out fielding and being a swing man in the batting order. Mark has played 3 games representing WA so far with aims to play more in the future. Mark tries to encourage his players to constantly learn by asking questions and striving to improve. His knowledge in bowling and skill acquisition allow him to nurture our young cricketers to become ready for senior cricket in the future.

Jacob is a current senior player and has represented the 1st Grade side.
Terry Culley is the Assistant Coach for the Senior Men’s Colts Side. Terry coached the Under 17’s side of season 2017/18 to Under 17’s Premiers.
Adam Edwards is the Under 17’s Coach and captain of the Senior Men’s 3rd Grade side.
Blake is a talented all-rounder with an experienced approach to the game. Having played senior cricket since the age of 16, Blake understands what it takes for young cricketers to be successful. Blake represented Western Australia in underage national carnivals and is currently the opening batsman and a seam bowler for Melville CC 1st grade in the WACA Premier Competition.
Vid Kadiresan joined Melville in 2019 and has since gone on to play 1st and 2nd Grade cricket. Vid is also a certified Level 1 Coach from ACC/CA and has coached various teams in Singapore including a short stint as Assistant Coach for the Singapore U-16 and Singapore Women’s team.
